Geographical Location
The land district Neustadt a. d. Aisch - Bad Windsheim, occupying an area of 1,267 km2 lies in the north-western
part of the administrativ district of Central Franconia and belongs to the Planning Region 8 of the western part
of Central Franconia. As far as natural boundaries, the eastern part of the land district belongs to the Central
Franconian Belt, the north-western part to Steigerwald Forest and the western part borders on the Windsheimer
Cove and Uffenheimer Gau. The convenient geographical location of the land district, between the urban areas Nuremberg
- Fuerth - Erlangen and Wuerzburg - Schweinfurt, as well as lying in the near proximity to the major metropolitan
areas of Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt,together with an extensive road and railway network have been major contributing
factors to the further economic development of the entire region. These connections and the well developed traffic
network are for small and middle range companies particularly interesting.

Population
The population of the district has recorded an increse. Presently, there
are 96,500 persons residing here, out of which 4% are immigrants. The population density lies at 76 residents/
km2 (in Bavaria there are 169 residents/km2)

Supply system and sewage and refuse disposal
The water supply is ensured by an optimal water channel network of the Franconian
global water supply. Just as, the electrical power supply without capacity limitations, is ensured by voltage transformer
nodes and numerous 380/220 KV lines.
The main gas arteries of Ruhrgas AG and Megal GmbH span throughout the district,
such that a connection to the gas network is possible in many communities and is also quite lucrative for specialized
businesses which have higher energy demands. The waste disposal is performed centrally by the land district (including
special waste handling)
Industrial and Commercial Areas
Numerous fully developed or close to full development industrial and commercial
areas totaling over 350 ha area available. In order to create larger areas for this purpose, a number of municipalities
and joint bodies have come together.
Prices for Industrial Space
Lots may be purchased at reasonable prices depending on their location and degree
of development. Individual negotiations may be conducted with towns and communities. Since the districts are very
interested in improving the infrastructure, they offer continous support.

The land district Neustadt a.d. Aisch - Bad
Windsheim belongs to the 5bTarget Zone of the EC and the "Bavarian
Regional Incentive Program".
Sponsorshipss for creating and/or securing jobs could therefore be awarded.
Small and mid-size businesses with predominant marketing of good and services
over the region's boudaries can be granted investment incentives. The
maximum granted allowances are:

In regard to work capacities, the land district offers best prerequisites for each
new business. Optimal educational and training opportunitiesl are contrasted by the lack of qualified job opportunities.
This has lead to a higher than average commuting of specialized work forces, especially in the congested area of
Nuremberg-Fuerth. Therefore, it is easy for each new business to find adequately qualified work forces.

to other agencies and institutions is possible.

ideas, offering market analysis, promoting future concepts, clarifying financial aspects, but also when problems
with obtaining permits and registrations arise.
